No-Frills Forum Rules
I know the last thing anyone wants to do is read a bunch of rules, but rules are necessary if order is to be kept. Please read this page very carefully so you will understand all of the rules contained herein.
If you have already read the rules for using the Forum, you may enter at any time. If you have not read the rules before, please take a moment to do so before you enter.
I
have read the rules already. I want to enter the Annie: The Musical Forum.
DEFINITIONS
The Forum = The Annie: The Musical Forum
The Topics = Annie: The Musical
(the stage play), the movies based on the stage play, the musical theater,
children in the performing arts, and the performing arts in general
MISSION
The main purpose of The Forum is
for people who enjoy The Topics to meet others with the same interests
in a safe and wholesome environment, discuss different views, and pass
along information about The Topics. There is no membership or prerequisite
involved prior to participating in Forum discussions. Everyone may feel
free to post at any time. It is suggested that all messages posted on The
Forum relate to one or more of The Topics; however, this is not a requirement.
MONITORING AND CENSORSHIP
The System Operators who monitor The Forum do not believe in censorship, which is the suppression of ideas. We encourage the discussion of ideas and opinions, including dissenting opinions (those which disagree with others). We do believe in keeping the discussions on The Forum safe and wholesome, however. The System Operators have the right, and the duty, to delete any message or thread on The Forum for the purposes of keeping The Forum safe and wholesome for all visitors, especially children.
To this end, the following types of messages and behaviors are not permitted on The Forum at any time:
- Profane,
obscene, or explicit language
- Any
explicit or suggestive statements or inferences
- Any
other statements which are inappropriate for children to read
- Hostile
or threatening remarks of any kind
- Personal
insults or other attacks
- Baseless
accusations
- Gossip
(negative remarks about someone else who may not post here)
- Remarks
which incite an argument or other inappropriate behavior
- Remarks
which are in bad taste, regardless of subject
- Requests
for personal information, such as addresses or phone numbers
- Posts
which contain personal information about anyone
- Any
post which someone legitimately complains about
This is by no means a comprehensive
(complete) list, and any message or thread on The Forum may be deleted
by any System Operator if that System Operator believes the message does
not promote The Topics in a safe and wholesome way.
STALE POST POLICY
To prevent The Forum getting so large as to be unmanageable, old message threads are routinely deleted. A thread can be deleted if its root post is 14 or more days old, and there are no messages in the thread that, in the opinion of the sysop in charge, are of major importance or interest or could be put on my Website.
To prevent an individual thread
from becoming too large, some branches of the thread may be pruned if they
meet the above criteria.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your ability to post on The Forum is not a right, but a privilege, and with all privileges come responsibilities. You are responsible for behaving yourself when you post, and for doing your best to avoid the forbidden behaviors described above. Violators of the above rules may be warned, restricted, or completely banned from the Forum. In addition, you are responsible for promoting The Topics positively to the best of your ability. Do you agree to these rules, terms and responsibilities?
Yes, I agree. I want to enter the Annie: The Musical Forum.
No,
I do not agree. I want to go back to the Front Page.
