1999-2001 National Tour Closed
Annie Tour Is Officially Closed
On Saturday May 19th the Annie tour played its last performance in Fort Wayne, IN. Needless to say, it was a very emotional, exciting, happy, sad, wonderful night. The show was, in my opinion, one of the best 3 we ever did because of all the extra emotion running through the company. I consider myself very blessed to have experienced such a wonderful opportunity. Through all the good and bad times, the good and bad reviews, the long bus rides, the long air-travel days, the parties, the cabaret performances, the dear friends, the sense of true bonding and accomplishment that can only happen from an experience like this - I wouldn't trade one minute of it ever. It isn't everyone who is fortunate enough to land jobs in this business, and we from the Annie company should feel very proud of what we did and for making Martin so very pleased with us and our telling of his show. I'll miss and think of you guys always. - Anonymous Cast Member, May 23, 2001

So ... Is There Life After Annie?
I must agree with the above post
by the cast member. What an amazing time we had doing that show. Yes, there
were good times and bad times. Good reviews and bad reviews. There were
parties and cabarets and television and radio spots and fast food and food
poisoning, loyalty, gossip and dirt (Oh my!) and children and dogs. So,
I guess now the question is, ''What next?'' There must be another show,
and our own personal ''shows '' must all go on. I myself am playing the
Cowardly Lion and Zeke in ''The Wizard of Oz'' at the Chesapeake Music
Hall in my hometown in Annapolis, MD. I also am auditioning whenever I
can to try to get another tour. The question is, will lightning strike
twice? I consider myself very very lucky to have been able to work with
such a talented cast and crew. I have no regrets. Absolutely none. And
may I offer a word of guidance for all you folks here? Be kind to each
other. Words are very powerful things and often we can use them harshly
and we hurt others. I have seen it happen time and again here. Just remember
that we are all special and unique and dreamers. Thank you all for helping
to make my dreams real. Be good ! - David B. Reynolds (Warbucks), May 30,

Girl, I am so proud of you! You put in your dues all year and now you get to be the redhead herself (again)! It seems so long since I got to hug you, but I am glad you are moving ahead. Congrats! By the way, if you don't know who this is, here is a hint. I was Molly's bus seat partner. - vivcat, May 27, 2001

Chubby
Thank you for the nice comments you have posted. I realize that I am a little chubby, but unfortunately, that is the way I am. I am thankful everyday for the parts I have been blessed to play. I love being on stage and meeting new cast and crew members. They all have become my family, and I love them all. If I never get another role to play, I will be thankful for what all I have done in my 13 years. - Kallie Flynn Childress, May 29, 2001

Kallie, You Are Wonderful
I want to put into writing and let everyone know what a wonderful and talented young lady you are. It was my pleasure to chaperone you for seven months. You are such a sweet, caring, talented, beautiful child. You are such a good friend to Dana. I can't tell you how much it meant to Dana and I that you and your mother came to California to support and encourage her last weekend. I'm so happy you got to see her do Annie one last time. I only hope we will be able to see you do Annie. You will be absolutely wonderful. You are a wonderful actress and you have a beautiful singing voice (which I miss terribly).
I miss you so much. We had such a good time. Even the early morning bus calls and the all-day traveling. You made everything so much easier with your easy going personality. Don't ever change. You are a beautiful person and a wonderful friend. Thank you for being a wonderful big sister to Dianne. You will always be a part of our family.
I love you so much and I miss you every day. Say "hello" to your wonderful family. Be happy! - Debbie Benedict, May 29, 2001

Thank You
Thank you all for your positive words and kindness. It is hard not being on tour with everyone that I have come to love and be attached to, but it is nice to be home with mom. I have taken all your kind words into my heart and there they will stay. By the way, Victor Oscar is a kind wonderful person. I don't think she could be rude or mean even if she tried to! - Kallie Flynn Childress, May 30, 2001
